Buyer Agreement
This is the contract between you and LTC.CARDS when you buy on the marketplace. It covers who you are actually buying from, what LTC is responsible for and what it is not, how your payment is handled, what information is collected about you, what happens when an order goes wrong, and the rules that apply to your account.
It is written to be read. Where a term is technical, the plain meaning is given alongside it.
Before this is published
Everything highlighted in amber is a fact only the business can supply, or a decision that belongs to counsel. Marked rather than guessed, for the same reason as the Seller Agreement.
- Legal entity and form. This uses Lanzone Trading Company, doing business as LTC.CARDS. The site footer currently reads "Lanzone Trading Company, LLC" while the Terms of Service had "LLC" removed. Those disagree. Settle it once and make it identical in this document, the Seller Agreement, the Terms, the Privacy Policy and the footer.
- Registered address and state of formation. Needed for notices and governing law.
- Governing law, venue, arbitration and class-action waiver. Left open, same as the Seller Agreement. If arbitration is adopted for sellers it should almost certainly be adopted for buyers too, and the two documents should match.
- Limitation of liability cap. Section 15 leaves the amount open.
- Return window. Section 8 states the seller-fault cases that require a refund. If you intend to offer a fixed buyer-remorse return window, it has to be stated here and it is not currently implemented anywhere in the platform.
- Store credit expiry. The balance carries no expiry field today, so this document says it does not expire. If you ever add one, unclaimed-property law in several states applies to expiring balances and this section must change first.
- Pre-signup availability. Must be reachable without logging in and linked from buyer signup and from checkout at the point of purchase, with acceptance recorded (timestamp, version, IP).
- Sales tax. Section 6 describes tax as calculated at checkout. That is built but produces zero until LTC registers in a state. The wording works either way, but confirm before launch.

Parties and acceptance
This Buyer Agreement (the Agreement) is between Lanzone Trading Company, doing business as LTC.CARDS (LTC, we, us), and the person who registers a buyer account or places an order on ltc.cards (you, the Buyer).
You accept it when you create a buyer account or place an order, whichever happens first.
Documents that form part of this Agreement
- Terms of Service and Privacy Policy, which apply to every user of the site.
- Return Policy and Shipping.
- Satisfaction Guarantee.
- Marketplace Fees, for the charges that apply to a purchase.
Where this Agreement and one of them conflict on a point of law, this Agreement controls. On an operational detail, the more specific document controls.
Eligibility
- Age. You must be at least 18, or the age of majority where you live, and able to form a binding contract.
- Location. LTC currently ships within the United States only. Orders are priced and charged in U.S. dollars.
- Verification. You must verify your email address before signing in. Phone and identity verification may be required to raise your purchase limits, as described in Section 5.
- One account. One buyer account per person. Additional accounts created to avoid limits, penalties or a prior ban are prohibited.
- Sanctions. You must not be subject to sanctions or otherwise barred from transacting under U.S. law.
Who you are buying from
LTC operates a marketplace. Most items are sold by independent sellers, not by LTC. When you buy a seller's listing, the contract of sale is between you and that seller. LTC is not the seller, does not own the item, and does not warrant it.
Some items are sold by LTC directly, such as supplies and packaging. Those are marked on the listing, and for them LTC is the seller and this distinction does not apply.
LTC is responsible for
- Operating the site, search, checkout and messaging.
- Processing your payment and applying marketplace rules.
- Calculating and remitting sales tax where required.
- Handling disputes, refunds and enforcement under its policies.
- The accuracy of its own listings for items LTC sells directly.
The seller is responsible for
- The accuracy of their listing, including condition and authenticity.
- Packing and shipping your order on time.
- The item itself and its condition on arrival.
- Responding to your messages about the order.
LTC holds sellers to published standards and will step in when a seller breaks them, including by refunding an order directly. That is a marketplace enforcing its rules, not LTC assuming the seller's contract. Your protections are set out in Sections 8 and 9.
Your account
- Accurate information. Your name, email, phone and shipping address must be accurate and current. A package sent to an address you provided incorrectly is not recoverable by LTC.
- Account security. You are responsible for activity under your credentials. Do not share your login.
- Sign-in verification. Signing in from a new device requires a code sent to your email. A device you choose to trust skips that step for a limited period.
- Payment methods. You may only use a payment method you are authorized to use. Card details are handled by the payment processor and are never stored on LTC's systems.
Buyer tiers and purchase limits
New buyer accounts have spending limits that rise as the account establishes a history. This protects sellers from fraudulent orders, and it is why a large first purchase may be declined.
| Tier | Per day | Per order |
|---|---|---|
| Unverified | Checkout unavailable | Checkout unavailable |
| Tier 1 | $100 | $75 |
| Tier 2 | $300 | $200 |
| Tier 3 | $1,000 | $750 |
| Tier 4 | $5,000 | $3,500 |
| Tier 5 | $25,000 | $15,000 |
| Tier 6 | $250,000 | $250,000 |
Tier is determined by verification status, order history and account standing. Verifying your email, phone and identity raises it fastest. Your current tier and limits are shown in your account.
LTC may lower a tier, or lock checkout entirely, where an account shows signs of fraud, dispute abuse, or activity inconsistent with normal buying. Limits may also be applied for compliance reasons.
Payment, pricing and tax
What you are charged
The amount shown at checkout is the amount charged: the item price, shipping, and any applicable sales tax. There are no buyer-side marketplace fees. The charge is authorized once, for that total.
Sales tax
Where LTC is required to collect sales tax, it is calculated at checkout based on your shipping address and is shown before you pay. LTC acts as a marketplace facilitator, meaning LTC collects and remits that tax to the state rather than the individual seller doing so. Tax rates are determined by your delivery address, not by where the seller is located.
Authorization and failure
- Your payment method is charged when you place the order. If the charge fails, no order is created.
- A declined card, an address mismatch, or a failed verification step may cause an order to be refused. LTC does not always disclose the specific reason, because doing so assists card testing.
- If a price or listing error is discovered before shipment, the order may be cancelled and refunded in full.
Payment card data is entered directly into the payment processor's hosted fields. It does not pass through or get stored on LTC's servers. LTC sees only the last four digits, the card brand, and whether the charge succeeded.
Shipping and delivery
- Dispatch. Sellers are required to ship within two business days of payment.
- Tracking. Where tracking is available it is uploaded to your order and you are notified as it updates.
- Address accuracy. Your shipping address is your responsibility. A package delivered to an address you supplied is treated as delivered.
- Untracked shipping. Some low-value items ship without tracking. Those carry more risk of a loss that cannot be proven either way, and LTC handles such claims case by case.
- Delays outside anyone's control. Carrier delays, weather and holidays are not seller fault and do not by themselves entitle you to a refund.
Cancellations, refunds and returns
Cancelling an order
You may cancel only before the order ships. Once it has shipped, it moves into returns or dispute handling instead.
A buyer-initiated cancellation carries a non-refundable fee of 2.9% + $0.30 of the order total, withheld from your refund. This is the payment processing cost that is charged to LTC when you pay and is not returned when you cancel, so the fee recovers a real cost rather than being a penalty. It applies only when you cancel. If the seller cancels, or LTC cancels, you are refunded in full with no fee.
When you are entitled to a refund
- The order was never shipped.
- The wrong item was sent.
- The item is materially not as described, including its condition, grade, edition or language.
- The item is counterfeit or inauthentic.
- The item arrived damaged because of inadequate packing.
In those cases the seller pays return shipping where a return is required. Buyer's remorse alone may not qualify for a return once an order has shipped.
How refunds are paid
- Refunds return to the original payment method. Your bank controls the timing, typically 3 to 7 business days.
- Where store credit was applied to the order, that portion is returned as store credit.
- Partial refunds are available where you and the seller agree a resolution short of a full return.
- Sales tax is refunded in proportion to the amount refunded.
LTC may refund an order directly where it breaks marketplace rules, without the seller's agreement. See the Return Policy for the operational detail.
Chargebacks
A chargeback is a dispute filed with your bank or card issuer. You have that right and nothing here removes it.
A chargeback takes weeks, is decided by the card network rather than by LTC, and costs the seller a non-refundable fee even when you are right. Contacting support is almost always faster and usually resolves the same issue in days. If it does not, the chargeback route is still open to you.
- LTC will provide the card network with the order records, tracking and messages relevant to the dispute.
- Filing a chargeback on an order you received, as described, is friendly fraud. Where LTC concludes that has happened, the account may be restricted or permanently closed.
- A pattern of disputes across orders may result in checkout being locked pending review.
- Disputes do not pause your obligations under this Agreement.
Store credit
- How it is earned. Store credit may be issued as a reward, such as for leaving a review, or as the refund route for an order originally paid with credit.
- How it is used. It applies against the total at checkout. Where credit covers the whole order, no card charge is made.
- It is not cash. Store credit has no cash value, cannot be withdrawn, transferred or sold, and is redeemable only on LTC.
- Expiry. Store credit does not expire.
- Reversal. Credit issued in error, or earned through conduct that breaches this Agreement, may be removed.
- On closure. A store credit balance is forfeited when an account is closed, because it is not money held on your behalf.
Information collected about you
The Privacy Policy governs this in full and controls on any point of detail. In summary:
| Category | Examples | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Account | Name, username, email, phone, password hash, sign-in and device history | To operate the account and detect unauthorized access |
| Order | Items, prices, shipping address, order history, refunds and disputes | To fulfil orders and resolve problems |
| Payment | Card brand, last four digits, billing postcode, authorization result | To take payment and prevent fraud. Full card numbers are never received by LTC |
| Identity | Government identification, where you choose to verify to raise limits | Fraud prevention and limit increases. Handled by the identity provider |
| Communications | Messages with sellers and with support | To operate messaging and resolve disputes |
| Usage | Pages viewed, clicks, searches, device type, approximate location from IP | To run and improve the site, and to detect abuse |
Every message sent through LTC may be read by LTC. That is how off-platform payment attempts, harassment and fraud are detected. Do not treat marketplace messaging as private, and do not send anything through it you would not want reviewed.
Who receives it
- Sellers receive your name, shipping address and order contents. They do not receive your payment details, identity documents or email address beyond what is needed to ship.
- The payment processor receives your payment details directly.
- Shipping carriers receive the address needed to deliver.
- Card networks receive order and delivery evidence when you dispute a charge.
- Tax authorities and law enforcement, where legally required.
LTC does not sell your personal information.
Reviews and messaging
- Honest reviews only. Review the transaction you actually had. Reviews traded for compensation, left on orders you did not place, or used to extort a seller are prohibited.
- LTC may remove reviews that contain personal information, abuse, or content unrelated to the transaction. Sellers may appeal a review, and LTC decides.
- Stay on platform. Do not exchange contact details or arrange payment outside LTC. It removes every protection in this Agreement and is prohibited for both sides.
- Be civil. Harassment, threats and discriminatory language toward sellers or staff are grounds for closure.
- Your content. You keep ownership of what you write, and grant LTC a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display it on the marketplace. Reviews attached to completed orders remain after your account closes.
Conduct and prohibited use
- Using a payment method you are not authorized to use.
- Card testing, or any attempt to validate payment credentials through the site.
- Filing disputes on orders you received as described.
- Creating additional accounts to bypass limits, penalties or a ban.
- Buying to resell in breach of a seller's stated terms, or coordinated buying to manipulate prices or sales history.
- Bots, scraping, automation, or interference with the site or other accounts.
- Steering a transaction off the platform to avoid fees or protections.
Restriction, suspension and closure
Enforcement is graduated. Most issues are resolved with a warning. Serious or repeated problems escalate through limits on purchasing or messaging, then suspension, then permanent closure. Fraud, card testing, systematic dispute abuse and ban evasion may result in immediate permanent closure.
Closing your account
- You may close your account at any time from your settings.
- Open orders must be delivered or resolved first.
- Any store credit balance is forfeited on closure.
- Order and tax records are retained as long as the law requires, which is longer than the life of the account.
If your account is closed by LTC
- Orders already placed are fulfilled or refunded.
- You may appeal by contacting support. Appeals are reviewed within 14 days.
- Obligations you already owe, including liability for a dispute you filed, survive closure.
Disclaimers and liability
The service is provided as it is
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the marketplace is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. LTC does not warrant that it will be uninterrupted or error free. Market price data, valuation tools and catalog information are provided for reference and are not a guarantee of value or an appraisal.
LTC does not warrant items sold by sellers
Because the sale contract for a seller listing is between you and that seller, LTC does not warrant the item's condition, authenticity or fitness. Your remedies for a defective or misdescribed item are those in Section 8.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, neither party is liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data or loss of goodwill.
LTC's aggregate liability arising out of or relating to this Agreement is limited to cap to be set by counsel. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including under consumer protection law that applies to you regardless of this Agreement.
Indemnification
You will indemnify LTC against any claim arising from your breach of this Agreement, your violation of any law, or content you submit.
Governing law and disputes
Governing law, venue and whether to require arbitration are decisions for counsel. Consumer arbitration clauses face more scrutiny than commercial ones, so the answer here may differ from the Seller Agreement and should be decided together with it.
Informal resolution first
Before any formal proceeding, contact support and allow period to be set days to resolve the matter.
Governing law
Governed by the laws of state to be set, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules.
Venue
Exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in venue to be set, unless arbitration is adopted.
Arbitration and class-action waiver
To be determined by counsel. If adopted, specify the administering body and rules, fee allocation, any small-claims carve-out, whether an opt-out window is offered and how it is exercised, and the scope of the waiver. If not adopted, remove this heading rather than leaving it empty.
Changes, assignment and contact
Changes
LTC may amend this Agreement. Material changes are notified to the email on your account and published here with an updated effective date before taking effect. Continuing to buy after that constitutes acceptance. Changes do not apply retrospectively to orders already placed.
Assignment
You may not assign this Agreement. LTC may assign it to an affiliate or in connection with a merger or sale of assets.
Severability and entire agreement
If any provision is unenforceable, the rest stays in force. This Agreement together with the documents in Section 1 is the entire agreement between you and LTC on its subject matter.

Notices to you go to the email on your account. Notices to LTC go to contact@ltc.cards and to the address below.
