Marketplace Fees

Simple, flat fees, with no “low order” penalties and no extra percentage tiers. Marketplace and transaction fees stay the same on every order.

Sellers typically save customers around 5–8% per order compared to other major online marketplaces.

Flat-rate fees No tiered pricing
At a glance: Sellers pay a 5% marketplace fee plus a 2.5% + $0.30 transaction fee, for a total of 7.5% + $0.30 per order. Withdrawing your available balance to your bank is free.

1. Fee breakdown

Marketplace Fee

5%

Supports the platform, marketplace features, and ongoing development.

Transaction Fee

2.5% + $0.30

Covers card/payment processing and related transaction costs.

Withdrawals

Free

No fee to withdraw your available balance to a linked bank account.

2. What sellers pay (effective totals)

Effective fee totals

Marketplace fee 5%
Transaction fee 2.5% + $0.30
Total per order 7.5% + $0.30

This is the full seller fee on a completed order. Withdrawing your available balance to your bank is free, so there is no additional withdrawal cost. See section 4 for the fees that apply if an order is refunded, canceled, or disputed.

3. No tiered or “small order” fees

We do not increase fees for low order totals or high order totals. Marketplace and transaction fees are always the same, so sellers can price consistently and buyers don’t get surprised at checkout.

4. Refunds, chargebacks, and cancellations

Three situation-specific fees can apply depending on what happens with an order. These replace or sit alongside the standard per-order fee, as described below:

Refund fee (seller)

3% or 4.36% + $0.30

If an order is fully refunded, the seller’s original 7.5% + $0.30 fee is returned in full and a refund fee is charged in its place. The rate depends on whether the seller’s available Stripe balance covers the refund recovery. The fee is the same whether the refund is issued by the seller or by LTC. Partial refunds that do not fully refund the order are not charged this fee. See section 5 for how the rate is decided.

Chargeback fee (seller)

$15

If a buyer disputes a charge with their bank instead of resolving it through LTC, a $15 chargeback fee may apply to the seller, and the disputed amount may be deducted from the seller’s balance, depending on whether the order qualifies for seller protection.

Order cancellation (buyer)

2.9% + $0.30

If a buyer cancels an order, a 2.9% + $0.30 processing fee is deducted from the buyer’s refund. No fee is charged to the seller for a buyer cancellation. Because the order is canceled, no payout is made for it and the seller’s fees on that order are returned in full.

5. How the refund fee rate is decided

When an order is fully refunded, LTC recovers the seller’s original payout plus the refund fee. Which of the two rates applies depends on whether that recovery can be taken from funds the seller already has available.

Sufficient available balance

3% + $0.30

The seller’s available Stripe balance covers the full recovery, so it settles immediately out of funds that are already there. This is the standard rate and applies to most refunds.

Insufficient available balance

4.36% + $0.30

The seller’s available balance does not cover the full recovery, so the reversal creates or increases a negative balance. LTC funds the buyer’s refund up front and recovers it afterwards, which takes longer and carries the risk that it is not recovered at all. The higher rate reflects that added recovery cost and risk.

The balance checked is the seller’s available Stripe balance at the time of the refund. Funds that are still pending do not count toward it. The amount that must be covered is the original payout being reversed plus the standard refund fee.

Example on a $100 order where the seller originally received $92.20: the standard rate applies if at least $95.50 is available ($92.20 reversal + $3.30 fee). Below that, the higher rate applies and the total recovered is $96.86 ($92.20 + $4.66).

Sellers see the rate that currently applies before confirming a refund. If the available balance changes between that preview and the refund being processed, and the fee would increase, the refund stops and asks for confirmation at the new amount. If the rate changes in the seller’s favor, the lower rate is applied automatically.
