LTC Seller Standards

Selling Policy

The rules every seller agrees to when listing on LTC. Keep listings accurate, ship on time, communicate on platform, and stay honest. This page covers the standards, what triggers a review, how enforcement works, and how to appeal.

2 business days to ship

Ship every order within 2 business days of payment unless the listing is a clearly labeled preorder.

Buyers cancel, sellers refund

Only buyers can cancel an order, and only before it ships. If you have a seller-side problem, refund the order.

Listings must match the item

Set, language, condition, version, finish, and quantity must reflect what the buyer actually receives.

All contact stays on LTC

No off-platform messages, contact info, or payments. Every conversation between buyer and seller is monitored.

01

Account responsibilities

Your seller account represents your business on LTC. You are responsible for everything listed, sold, shipped, refunded, and communicated through it.

  • Accurate account information: name, business details, payout details, and contact info must stay current.
  • Account security: you are responsible for activity on your account. Do not share logins or let unauthorized users sell through your profile.
  • One identity: creating extra accounts to dodge limits, penalties, or bans is prohibited.
  • Good standing: you must maintain acceptable order handling, communication, and listing accuracy to keep selling without restrictions.
Business days For policy timing, business days means Monday through Friday and excludes major US holidays unless LTC states otherwise.
02

Listing accuracy

Every listing must clearly and correctly describe the product. Buyers should receive exactly what your listing led them to expect.

  • Correct product: title, set, card name, variation, grade, and product type must match the item.
  • Correct language and version: do not list a Japanese card under an English slot, or alternate prints, finishes, or editions under the wrong listing.
  • Correct condition: condition must be assigned honestly. Disclose bends, creases, dents, whitening, scratches, or other meaningful flaws.
  • Correct quantity: inventory counts must be accurate. Do not list stock you do not have available to ship.
  • Correct images: photos must represent the actual item or an accurate stock representation that doesn't mislead.
  • Graded products: slab brand, grade, and certification details must match the item exactly.
  • Sealed products: no resealed, tampered, or incomplete products represented as new. Disclose any missing parts or defects before sale.
Listing the wrong item under the wrong product page is a serious violation Wrong product page, wrong condition, wrong language, or wrong category misleads buyers and damages marketplace trust. It is treated as a major seller-fault issue, not a clerical mistake.
03

Order handling and shipping

Orders must be shipped within 2 business days of payment. If the order is paid Monday, you have until Wednesday to ship. If it is paid Friday, you have until Tuesday. Detailed packaging and tracking requirements are on the Shipping Guidelines page.

  • Ship on time: a printed label alone does not count as fulfillment if the package has not been handed off to the carrier.
  • Add tracking promptly: when tracking is available, it must be uploaded to LTC without delay.
  • No false shipment updates: do not mark an order as shipped before it has shipped.
  • Out of stock after sale: notify the buyer and issue a refund promptly. Repeated out-of-stock issues are treated as inventory abuse.
04

Cancellations, refunds, and returns

Buyers cancel before shipment

Only buyers can cancel an order, and only before it ships. Once shipped, the order moves to return or dispute handling instead.

Sellers refund, they don't cancel

If you need to unwind a transaction (out of stock, pricing error, damage in your hands before shipping), you must refund the buyer through the refund flow.

  • Full refunds may be required when an order is unfulfilled, the wrong product is sent, or the item is materially not as described.
  • Partial refunds may be used when buyer and seller agree to a fair resolution.
  • Returns: buyer-remorse alone may not qualify once an order has shipped. Wrong item, inaccurate condition, counterfeit goods, transit damage from poor packaging, and not-as-described products may require a return or refund.
  • Return shipping: sellers are responsible for return shipping costs on seller-fault returns.

For the fee impact of refunds and cancellations, see the Seller Fees page.

05

Communication and on-platform rule

Everything a buyer and seller need to communicate is built into LTC. All conversations stay on the platform — every message between buyer and seller is reviewed by LTC.

  • No off-platform contact info: phone numbers, email addresses, social media handles, and links to other stores are not allowed in messages.
  • No off-platform payments: directing buyers to pay outside LTC, by Venmo, Zelle, PayPal, or any other channel, is prohibited.
  • Be professional: harassment, threats, abuse, discrimination, and repeated hostility are grounds for action.
  • Stay truthful: do not mislead buyers about condition, shipment timing, availability, or refund status.
  • No pressure: do not pressure buyers to change reviews, drop complaints, or accept unfair resolutions.
Off-platform fee avoidance is a serious violation Steering a buyer off LTC to complete a sale, accept payment, or continue a deal is one of the fastest ways to lose your seller account. This protects both buyers and the marketplace.
06

Performance standards

LTC reviews seller performance using order completion, refund rate, cancellation rate, dispute outcomes, buyer reviews, and overall account standing. Some standards have hard thresholds, others are judged through your seller rating over time.

Refund rate

Refund rate above 5% flags the account for review. Your account continues to operate normally during review, but further action may follow if the pattern continues.

Cancellation rate

Cancellation rate uses the same 5% threshold. Repeated unwound orders signal an inventory or listing problem.

Late shipment

There is no fixed late-shipment percentage. Shipment performance is judged through your seller rating and buyer reviews over time.

Dispute and listing accuracy

Frequent disputes, repeated wrong-item issues, or pattern-based listing inaccuracy are reviewed alongside the metrics above.

Single issues vs patterns One bad order is fixable. A repeated pattern of late shipments, wrong items, weak communication, or refund problems is treated as a larger trust issue even when each incident looks small on its own.
07

Enforcement

Enforcement is graduated. Most issues are resolvable with a warning and corrective action; serious or repeated problems escalate.

  • Warnings: first-time or minor problems usually result in a warning or a request for corrective action.
  • Restrictions: LTC may limit listings, selling privileges, withdrawals, or messaging access.
  • Suspension: serious or repeated issues may lead to a temporary suspension while the account is reviewed.
  • Permanent removal: counterfeiting, fraud, repeated deception, ban evasion, or other major trust violations may result in permanent termination.
08

Appeals

If your account is suspended or banned and you believe it was an error, you can appeal.

  • Where to send it: contact@ltc.cards
  • Include: the email associated with your seller account and your store name.
  • Review window: appeals are reviewed within 14 days.

Provide context, order numbers, screenshots, tracking, or anything else that helps explain what happened. The more complete the appeal, the faster the review.

09

Prohibited activities

The following may lead to listing removal, payout holds, suspension, or permanent removal.

Counterfeit or inauthentic goods Selling counterfeit, altered, fake, or otherwise inauthentic products is grounds for immediate enforcement and may result in permanent removal from the platform.
Misrepresentation Misleading titles, manipulated photos, inaccurate conditions, fake scarcity, or false claims about value, authenticity, or print version.
Inventory abuse Listing products you do not have, repeated overselling, or failing to maintain basic stock control.
Feedback and market manipulation Fake reviews, self-purchases, collusive behavior, or attempts to manipulate sales history, account reputation, or price perception.
System abuse Bots, scraping, unauthorized automation, exploits, or interference with the website, data, or other accounts.
Off-platform fee avoidance Directing buyers to pay outside the marketplace, avoid fees, or continue the deal elsewhere.
Prohibited products or unlawful activity Items that are illegal, infringing, unsafe, or prohibited under applicable law or marketplace rules.
10

Tier-based selling privileges

Some selling features are gated by your seller tier. Higher tiers raise listing price caps, increase active listing limits, speed up payouts, and unlock features like preorders.

  • Listing price caps: the maximum price per listing scales with your tier. Tier 1 starts at $300; Tier 6 has no cap. See Selling Tiers.
  • Payout speed: Tier 1 and 2 hold for 21 days, Tier 3 for 14 days, Tier 4 for 7 days, and Tier 5 and 6 release as fast as the payment processor allows.
  • Preorders: available to Tier 4 and above with verified transaction history. Preorder selling can be restricted, paused, or removed for sellers with poor fulfillment, excessive delays, or repeated cancellations.
11

Taxes, recordkeeping, and legal responsibility

LTC operates as a marketplace facilitator and handles state sales tax automatically — you do not collect or remit it. You are still responsible for everything else: income tax, business records, and any law that applies to your inventory or operations.

  • Income tax: reporting your sales income is your responsibility.
  • Recordkeeping: keep records of sales, refunds, fees, shipping, cost basis, and other business expenses.
  • Local compliance: follow all laws and regulations that apply to your products and your business.

For sales tax detail, see Seller Fees. LTC's tax tools and dashboards are informational and don't replace professional advice.

12

Policy updates

LTC may update this policy as the marketplace grows, new features launch, fraud patterns shift, or operational standards are refined. Continued use of the seller platform means you agree to the current published policy.
